Who We Are
Alfa Test was founded in 2002 with the aim of supporting Teradyne in-circuit testing equipment in Romania. Today, we are the only company in the region that offers complete solutions for inspection and testing stages: AOI, X-Ray, Flying Probe, In-Circuit Test, Boundary Scan, Functional Test, and Flash Programming. In addition, we rely on state-of-the-art software design tools for test analysis and test program generation. We offer turnkey solutions for MiR & AutoGuide autonomous mobile robots. We supply and support Universal Robots and provide training at the only UR Certified Training Center in the region.

With our headquarters in Timișoara, Romania and a branch office in Niš, Serbia, opened in 2019 for the Balkan countries, we now ensure excellent communication and local support for our clients in the Balkans and Central Europe. Once we identify your needs, our team of 20 professionals will prove to be a valuable partner.

As a premier MIR partner and leading Universal Robots distributor in the area, we have sold over 500 AMRs and cobots. We host the largest installed MIR fleet at a single customer site in Europe.

Over 400 capital test and inspection systems are supported by the ALFA TEST team. We have developed over 1,000 flying probe test programs and over 500 in-circuit test applications deployed in production. Our expertise grows daily thanks to our extensive client base across 20 countries, where we have implemented projects in various sectors such as automotive, electronics, logistics, industrial, telecommunications, medical, and defense.

Basic Elements
§ 1 Collection, Use, and Storage of Personal Data
When you use ALFA TEST’s online services, ALFA TEST collects various data, including personal data. Personal data refers to any information related to an identified or identifiable natural person („data subject”).

2. General Website Visitors
As a visitor to the ALFA TEST website, your browser automatically sends data to our server. The following data is logged during an active connection between your browser and our web server:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name of the requested file
  • The webpage from which the file was requested
  • Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • Browser and operating system used
  • Full IP address of the requesting computer
  • Data volume transferred

For technical and security reasons, including preventing attacks on our server, this data is stored for a short period. These logs do not allow personal identification.

The legal basis for this storage is § 15 of the Multimedia Law (Law No. 298 of 18/11/2008).

Additional personal data will only be collected if you voluntarily provide it (e.g., via inquiries or registration). ALFA TEST uses the personal data you provide, depending on the specific area, in order to respond to your inquiries, to process your request, and for technical purposes related to website administration. More specifically, the data is used in each area as follows:

3. Contact Forms

When you contact ALFA TEST through the company’s websites using a contact form, the information you provide will be stored to ensure that your message can be forwarded to the appropriate partner. This is done in accordance with Art. 6(b) of the GDPR for the purpose of processing the request. Your data submitted through the contact form will not be used for other purposes, especially not for advertising. After your inquiry is addressed, your request and related personal data will be deleted and not used for commercial purposes.

4. Prize Contests – OPTIONAL

In the case of prize contests, ALFA TEST only stores the data necessary for the specific contest draw (e.g., your name, address, email address) in order to carry out the contest, in accordance with Art. 6(b) of the GDPR. Only if you provide your consent by checking the appropriate box will ALFA TEST use your data for market research or newsletter purposes, pursuant to Art. 6(a) of the GDPR.

5. Warranty Extension Campaign – IF APPLICABLE

The warranty extension campaign is addressed exclusively to ALFA TEST’s commercial customers. If you participate, you must provide your name, address, email address, and product information (mandatory fields) for the device for which you wish to extend the warranty. This data is necessary for warranty processing and to properly associate the device, in accordance with Art. 6(b) of the GDPR. Completing the remaining fields is optional and done with your consent according to Art. 6(a) of the GDPR.

6. Newsletter

You can receive the ALFA TEST newsletter without registering with your name; only your email address is required, along with your explicit consent by checking the box next to the following text:

“I wish to subscribe to the ALFA TEST newsletter and I accept the provisions regarding data protection.”

The email address provided for newsletter registration will not be disclosed to third parties. For data processing purposes, ALFA TEST SRL Romania uses MailChimp services. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters (§ 5 No. 3), your email address will be removed from the distribution list using the Unsubscribe function.

Following your consent, confirmed by a verification email, ALFA TEST will use your email address to send newsletters that regularly inform you about current offers and ALFA TEST products. This data processing is based on your consent, pursuant to Art. 6(a) of the GDPR. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.


§2 Transfer and Deletion of Personal Data

1. Website Visitors
When simply visiting ALFA TEST web pages, the stored data (§1) is not transmitted to third parties.

2. Disclosure to Authorities and Public Institutions
Your data will only be shared with third parties outside the ALFA TEST group if a competent public authority or governmental organization orders its disclosure in specific cases, in which ALFA TEST is legally obligated to comply.


§3 Security Notice

1. General Technical and Organizational Measures
ALFA TEST has implemented a range of security measures to appropriately and adequately protect personal data.
All data stored by ALFA TEST is safeguarded through physical, technical, and procedural measures that restrict access to authorized personnel only, in accordance with this privacy policy.
ALFA TEST websites are protected by a software firewall to prevent access from other internet-connected networks. In addition, only employees who require information to perform a specific task have access to personal data. These employees are trained in security practices and maintain the confidentiality of the information.

2. Secure Data Transmission
The transmission of your personal data during an online store order process is encrypted using standard technology, such as Secure Socket Layer (SSL), version 3 encryption.


§4 Cookies / Usage-Based Advertising (Behavioral Advertising)

According to § 3 of the Multimedia Law (Law No. 298 of 18/11/2008), ALFA TEST may create user profiles for advertising, market research, or tailored website design, provided the user does not object. The option to object is presented in individual technical measures.

4. Use of Cookies
Our website uses “cookies” for behavioral purposes. These are text files that store usage information (visited websites, number of visits, visit times, duration per page, etc.)—creating a user profile on your hard drive. These user profiles are anonymized and statistically evaluated, allowing for future online advertisements (e.g., banners) on other websites to be selected based on your interests. Personal data such as name, address, or email address is never stored in cookies.


§5 Your Rights

1. Information
You have the right at any time to request information about the data stored regarding your person, its origin, recipient, and the purpose of data processing. Please contact the ALFA TEST data protection officer (§6).

2. Objection (Market Research)
You may object at any time to the further processing of your data under Art. 21 of the GDPR. This applies particularly to data processing for direct marketing purposes. To do so, please send a short email to office@alfatest.ro (no justification required).

3. Withdrawal of Consent (e.g., Newsletter Delivery)
You may withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data by ALFA TEST at any time, for example, for receiving newsletters. To unsubscribe, please click on the „unsubscribe from newsletter” link at the bottom of any newsletter email received. In all other cases, please contact the data protection officer at ALFA TEST SRL, Timișoara, Romania.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to request the rectification, deletion, or restriction of the processing of your personal data, the right to object to future processing, and the right to data portability.
As a data subject, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement, without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection regulations.

Please note: If your personal data is being processed for the purpose of contract execution and you object to such processing, you will no longer be able to use the services provided under the contract.
